Getting started

Connecting a wallet

Unlockable discovers the wallets already installed in your browser and remembers the one you pick.

The connect dialog lists every wallet extension the browser announces. Choosing one asks that wallet for permission to share an address. Nothing else is requested, and connecting signs no transaction.

That address becomes your identity in the app. Positions, orders, deposits and history all attach to it rather than to the browser you happen to be using.

What connecting does and does not do#

  • It does read your address, so balances and positions can be shown.
  • It does persist, so returning to the app silently restores the same wallet if it still authorises the site.
  • It does not sign anything, move anything, or request an allowance.
  • It does not gate browsing. Markets, pools and docs are all readable with no wallet at all.

Sessions and disconnecting#

Disconnecting from the account dialog forgets the session immediately. The portfolio page, deposits, and every balance-changing action require a connected wallet; everything else does not.

Telling accounts apart#

Each account is shown with an identicon generated from its address, so two accounts are hard to confuse at a glance. Tapping the address in the account dialog copies it.
